About Us

Mary Robertson
Co-Executive Producer
Co-Executive Producer Mary Robertson recently celebrated her four-year anniversary as a member of the Left/Right creative team.  An inveterate documentary film geek, Mary has managed to work on many of the most prestigious projects in the office, ranging from the Emmy-nominated PBS Frontline documentary Middle School Moment to the Discovery special Sex in America to the History Channel series United Stats of America, among others. She’s also had a hand in development and reality projects that run the gamut from fashion makeover shows to car restoration shows to Internet dating shows, and everything in between.  In addition to her producing and writing skills, Mary is also a talented director – and often plays a key role in helping to set the look and visual style on our productions.

Shockingly, Mary had a successful career even before she joined forces with Left/Right: she lent her talents to projects ranging from The History Channel's highly-rated miniseries America: The Story of Us to the PBS series History Detectives. She has also produced and reported several segments for public radio’s award-winning series This American Life, and her captivating short film Missed Connections premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Mary is a Wesleyan graduate, a proud Brooklynite, and a hard-core foodie.  She also harbors a secret love for male-skewing reality TV shows.
